Video – what to expect from our services

Recently, I had the opportunity to join Simon, head of film here at mmadigital, for a client video shoot at an awards event in Manchester. Having experienced the day, and Simon’s way of working, I thought it would be a perfect idea to share with you my experiences (as a novice in videography) and what to expect from our service on the day.
The Experience – from an onlookers perspective!
Upon arrival, Simon and myself made our introductions to the client and had an in depth chat about what needed capturing during the event, what they wished to avoid and important shots that would portray the correct atmosphere & feel to the event. With this in mind, Simon set up his equipment and made his way around the location to identify prime shots. I must admit, after the first half an hour of the event, when the room began to fill, Simon blended into the event fantastically. He glided around the prime spots identified earlier in the evening and managed to gain some great raw material. During the speeches and presentations, he moved around the tables unnoticed – I barely remember seeing him in the room! After the speeches, Simon moved around the room, interviewing key figures from the evening – on observing, I found his attitude towards the interviewees, warm and comforting – certainly helpful with those who had never been filmed one-to-one before. After a great night, we thanked the client for their hospitality and departed to get cracking on the edit!
Once the film has been captured, Simon returns to his desk to carry out the editing stage of his work. This step is vital towards ensuring that the most important aspects of the footage are blended and crafted seamlessly with one another. The result – a final film which flows through engaging material for your viewers and gives an array of exciting facts you’re eager to portay.
When the film has undergone all of the editing processes, it is presented to our client to view, be delighted with, sign off and finally distribute to the world! We offer to place the video onto the clients site, and if you have one of our social media packages, stream through your Youtube channel, tweet around your followers, share with your Google Plus 1 audience and place on your Facebook wall.
