So, once again, Apple have made a big announcement. With months of speculation it has finally led to this. What is it? The launch of the new iPad. Its name? Well, the ‘new iPad’ of course! This 4G LTE iPad has some great new features including a 9.7-inch retina display.
Without getting too technical here are some of the features of the new iPad and what they will mean to you.
The unique retina display means that the new iPad has a million more pixels than a 1080p HDTV. All you need to know is that it is crystal clear.
Apple decided to upgrade the camera in conjunction with the retina display. This means that it will take 5-megapixel still pictures. When it comes to videos, there is now an automatic stabalising feature which means your photos and videos will be of extremely high quality.
The new iPad can now connect to the 4G LTE networks, AT&T and Verizon. There will be new pricing plans involved however.
Apple have included a dictation option which means that at the press of a button you can dictate a text message or note. In fact, the dictation is so clever you can even speak a tweet and it will post it on Twitter!
AirPlay streaming has been upgraded which means you can transmit TV to your Apple TV wirelessly. This will now allow you to view at 1080p, which coincides with the recent Apple TV upgrade.
Overall the new iPad is faster, has better graphics and a slightly longer battery life. But don’t call it the iPad 3, if you really want to be in the know, it is the ‘new iPad’!
