The added extras to your e-commerce business

If you have an e-commerce website then hopefully you have seen a significant growth of late.  E-commerce is most certainly the way forward if you have something to sell.  But with more and more businesses now on the e-commerce bandwagon you need to ensure you are separating yourself from the competition.

There are a number of ways you can do this:

Free delivery

The majority of major brands have been offering free delivery for a long time.  This has had an impact on their sales.  Many also offer next day delivery as customers becoming increasingly impatient in a fast-growing technologically advanced world.  You can offer free delivery if you highlight the fact that this will take x amount of days. Make sure that you state your terms and conditions clearly.  Remember, happy customers are those that have been well communicated to.

Mobile 

Mobile commerce, or m-commerce is rapidly growing.  Around 79% of all time spent on mobile phones is spent shopping.  But are you offering your customers an easy m-commerce platform on which to purchase? If not then now is the time to do so.

Social media 

E-commerce sites like Argos and Amazon will credit their ratings and reviews as pushing many of their products.  Utilise your social media to encourage reviews and recommendations.  This can also be harnessed through the use of Pinterest.  If you love this, Pin it! Many brands also use Facebook to push their e-commerce with offers and updates of sales and discounts.

It doesn’t take much to really push your brand forward and to be in the purchasing space of your customers.  Mobile and tablet shoppers are constantly increasing.  Isn’t it time you were at their fingertips?
