How integrated are you?

When it comes to letting the world know about your business, how integrated are you? Consider your latest marketing strategy.  You may have an advert on the go, flyers, leaflets, a radio campaign and even a new website.  All of these elements will be working separately to bring you the leads or new revenue that you require.

But how integrated is this?  When looking at your marketing campaigns it is vital that you connect the dots.  Imagine each element of your marketing campaign is a piece in a puzzle.  Without one of those pieces you don’t get the full picture.

That is why, when it comes to any marketing campaign,  you need to be digitally integrated.  You may not be on Twitter, Facebook, shopping on your mobile phone or LinkedIn with others, but your clients and customer base are.

 

Digital marketing is no longer a buzz word, it is the jigsaw puzzle as a whole.  Each piece of this jigsaw is made up of Facebook, blogs, Twitter, email campaigns and viral marketing.  All fitting together to give you the bigger picture.

Here are a few areas to consider when planning your marketing campaign:

Add social elements to your emails, newsletters and blogs 

Include the ‘share’ and ‘like’ buttons on your emails and encourage your readers to share it with their friends and colleagues.  Don’t forget to add your ‘follow us on Facebook/Twitter’ as well.

If you are not integrating this then you are seriously missing out!

Email lists 

Don’t just send the same thing to your whole email database.  Categorise everyone, in terms of your current clients, prospective clients or however you see fit.  Send them emails and newsletters that are in touch with what they are after.  That way you know you are sending the right thing to the right person.

Get mobile

Don’t forget mobile.  Ensure you have a mobile site and integrate this also.  Ensure your website, emails and newsletters are mobile friendly.

You can also add QR codes to your print advertising that will drive people to your mobile site.

Get analysing 

Remember to analyse everything.  That way you will know what is working and what isn’t.
