With so many changes happening with the way that legal firms market themselves, it is important to be ahead of the game.  Do you know your mobile responsive websites from your social media?  Or your pay-per-click campaign from your SEO content?  Well, fear not, we are here to tell you about the 5 things that you need to know about digital.

Fresh content is vital

You may have heard this before, but fresh content is vital.  It is fresh content that will help you to get ranked higher and higher on Google.  And, when it comes to being online, that is the aim of the game.  Make sure that you are updating your blog on a weekly basis.  Use keywords and write informative copy that people will want to share.  You may also want to gain some help from an agency that specialises in legal SEO content… ahem.

Be social 

Are you using social media?  Are you updating your social media on a daily basis?  Make sure you are fully using the likes of Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.  Add updates daily, but don’t stick to a specific time of day.  Change it up and include current topics and items that are trending that day.

As mentioned, SEO is key to helping boost your Google rankings.  But what exactly is it?  SEO stands for search engine optimisation.  Essentially it is the process of improving the amount and quality of traffic that comes to your website.  You may want to speak to a professional SEO specialist.  Someone who has access to the right places to upload your SEO content, again… ahem.

Video 

Having a creative corporate video on your website is a way of sharing with the world what words can’t say.  In the legal industry especially it can be a nice way of explaining what you do and a way to give your firm a face.  Personalisation and understanding are two elements that can come across much better via video than words.

Responsive website 

With the whole world using smartphones and tablets you want to ensure that your website can be easily accessed and read on the go.  Is your website mobile responsive?  When you access it on the train, on your sofa or in a pub does it display fully and quickly?  If not then you need to update your website and be available at all times.
